Choose your internship path:

Are you looking for an opportunity to gain professional experience and grow your skillset? You’re in the right place! Bank Iowa offers a 10-to-12-week paid summer internship program designed for college students to grow their knowledge in finance and other banking departments. We believe that investing in young professionals is crucial to the future success of our industry. Providing knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their careers is simply the right thing to do.

Rotational Program

Our rotational internship provides a comprehensive introduction to the banking industry with an emphasis on banking operations and client experiences across core banking functions. This could include agriculture and commercial relationship management, retail banking and mortgage lending. Additional job shadow experiences include credit administration and treasury management.

This program is ideal for sophomores and juniors seeking an introduction to the community banking industry.

Focused Program

Interns gain hands-on experience tailored to their professional interests, helping them jump-start their careers after graduation. Daily work and key projects will align with the department each intern is assigned. Department assignments could include agriculture and commercial relationship management, credit administration, finance and accounting, human resources, information technology, marketing, mortgage lending and retail banking.

The recommended audience for the focused program is college students looking to gain experience in a specific operational discipline. Prior banking experience is preferred for students interested in relationship management or retail banking.
