Bank Iowa Foundation Donates to the City of Pella Recreational Complex
Mayor of Pella Don DeWaard visited the corporate offices of Bank Iowa on Monday, June 5, 2023, to accept the Bank Iowa Foundation’s donation to the City of Pella. The foundation committed $100,000 over three years to build an indoor recreational building for the local community.
According to DeWaard, the goal of the recreation center is to build community and enhance the quality of life in Pella. The facility will accomplish this by attracting new residents, bolstering the community’s tourism industry and spurring additional economic development.
“We are excited to partner with the Pella community on this project,” says Bank Iowa President & CEO Jim Plagge. “By contributing to projects that sustain, enhance and allow our communities to thrive, the Bank Iowa foundation enables our team to fulfill its purpose – to Empower People, Inspire Success and Foster Growth.”
The Bank Iowa Foundation was established to support organizations looking to sustain and enhance the quality of life for those who live and work in the local communities served by Bank Iowa. The Bank Iowa Foundation supports organizations focused on the following initiatives: health, inclusion, education, recreation and arts, economic development and poverty relief efforts.
