In observance of Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day, all Bank Iowa locations will be closed on Monday, October 13th. We look forward to serving you the following day.
On January 1, 1938, the city of Valley Junction adopted its new name: West Des Moines. Due to the decline in the railroad industry (thanks a lot, Great Depression), the community leaders were convinced that a new name would help spur progress and give the city a suburban image — and did it ever! Be sure to stop into our West Des Moines bank location to meet our team!
